Birnam Arts is seeking a new Chair for our Board of Trustees
Birnam Arts, (BA), our wonderful community arts centre located in beautiful Highland Perthshire, is seeking a new Chair to lead our Board of Trustees.
Having navigated our way through the challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic with the help and support of the community, this is an exciting time for Birnam Arts. An experienced new General Manager has joined us recently and we are delighted to have been awarded a Creative Scotland grant of over £50,000 to support our programme over the next year.
Ahead of the planned retirement of John Anderson, the longstanding and highly committed Chair of our Board of Trustees, we are looking for someone who can share their skills, passion, energy and experience in leading the oversight of Birnam Arts’ governance, strategy, and financial planning.
You don’t need to have an arts background or any particular formal qualification to become Chair but you should have an interest in the arts and the ambition to support and evolve this much loved community venue. If you would like to find out more about joining the BA Board, either as our new Chair or indeed as a member of the Board, current Board member Sarah Yearsley would love to hear from you. sarahyearsley@btinternet.com
Our call for initial expressions of interest is open until Monday 13th November 10am and we will undertake interviews on the basis of formal applications received later in November.
A fantastic opportunity to support Birnam Arts and dedicate a space to loved ones or shine a light on your business.
