Beauty and the Beast- the Pantomime
The beloved, romantic story of a young girl and a bewitched prince, in a Tale as Old as Time...
Oh, and a cross-dressing Ma and a giant French Poodle called Felix (every panto should have one)! And a nasty baddie! Every panto has to have one. (Well, spoiler, the beast isn't bad really, is he!)
Join the gang for French fun and frolics (for as long as the accents hold up) as Rose and brother Jacques hopelessly try to train Felix - who has some curiously human traits - and meet uber-strong blacksmith Capucine.
After uber-mean witch Malabelle takes being spurned by the uber-handsome Prince (you wait for ages then 3 Ubers come together!) out on the local village, the story takes Ma and then Rose through the dark forest to a remote castle full of furniture - also with some notably human traits - as prisoner of a shouty, but rather sad Beast!
Can Rose see beyond the monster to save her captor? Can Ma carry off pretending to be a man(!)? Can Jacques ever overcome Felix's Poodle Power and train him to ignore a tree?
All these vital questions will be answered in a fast-paced, fun-filled show with a fabulous live band, a cast of... lots, 3 (yes 3!) weddings, and fantastic song favourites to singalong with: 500 Miles, Let It Go, Dancing in the Street, Careless Whisper (complete with live sax!) and lots more.
Come along! You know you want to... oh yes you do!
It's just the best start to the festive period you could wish upon a star for!

The food scene in Dunkeld and Birnam is becoming a go-to for food lovers and we're proud to be part of the that story.
Such lovely memories of coming to Birnam as a wee one, visiting the garden and the exhibition then exploring the woods that inspired Beatrix Potter.

Happy to support this incredible venue which hosted our wedding 3 years ago now. Still the best day of our lives and the Birnam arts played a huge part in that!

Birnam Arts delivers a programme of monthly exhibitions showing work by artists at varying stages of their careers within both solo and group exhibitions.
We continually develop new opportunities to support the practice and development of Scottish based artists, whilst also bringing work that is inspiring, creative and different to the contemporary art scene in rural Perthshire.
Birnam Arts is a unique venue, contributing enormously to many aspects of our lives - social, cultural, educational.

Located upstairs of the original Victorian part of Birnam Arts, our Visual Arts and Performing Arts studios are where much of the creative magic at Birnam Arts takes place.
The comfortable and aesthetically pleasing cafe seating attracted praise and provided ideal places for small groups to gather at the tables, enjoying excellent food and drinks! Visitors remarked upon your new signage, now so much easier to navigate to the various rooms within the venue.
