Doug Allan

Sat 12 Mar
19:30pm - 22:00
Doors open 19:30

Doug Allan - Nature Camera Action is one of the world’s best known and respected cameramen. His images have been published in numerous magazines and books, and he’s contributed memorable sequences to classic BBC series like The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Frozen Planet, Ocean Giants, Forces of Nature and many others.

Description

Doug was in Birnam five years ago, he’s returning with more stories and pictures.

Is it true your eyeballs freeze at minus 50? How do you get close to orcas under the ice? Can you really talk to whales? What’s the key to camerawork at 7500m on Everest?  How is it sharing a Mars bar with David Attenborough, and a bed with Ewan McGregor?

Come along and chill out with Doug, when all will be revealed!

Star Star Star Star Star

This is a lovely light and welcoming building with a cafe and library during the day and some really excellent concerts and shows of all genres mostly in the evening. It's an intimate space but with capacity for several hundred people and tends to be competitively priced. It relies on volunteer support and is an excellent community hub
