
Introduction to Lino Cut Workshop with Lisa Speirs-Fleming
Create your own bookmark or small print in this hands-on introduction to lino printing.
No prior experience is needed - beginners are very welcome.
Join Lisa for an exploration of Lino cut printmaking, where you will:
- Learn about Lisa's creative practice through examples of her work
- Be introduced to the printmaking process, tools, and health & safety
- Be guided through drawing, transferring your design into a lino plate, and carving techniques
During the workshop, you'll also have the opportunity to:
- Use a tabletop printers press
- Experiment with test prints
- Print on both damp and dry paper
- Leave with one or several finished bookmarks or small prints
There will be a refreshment break halfway through the session.
What we will provide:
- Printmaking books and magazines for inspiration and reference
- All materials
- Aprons
What participants need to bring:
Any reference images or inspiration you would find helpful
