How does a man find his purpose when he grows older, and all the major life events come thick and fast? Should he retire to the solitude of The Shed as usual and escape from the world, or should he get out and try something new? When the familiar rules no longer apply, is it too late to change the habits of a lifetime?
Inspired by the work of the Scottish Men’s Sheds Association, “Man Shed” is a one-man theatre piece by Right Lines Productions which explores the joy of sheds, the pain of loss and the comfort of friendship.
What people thought about Man Shed:
“a tender study of grief and loneliness.” The Scotsman
“a moving portrayal of love, loss and loneliness. Beautifully written, the solo performance by Ron Emslie is a quiet tour de force.” Julia Chamberlain
“… a 'standing ovation' performance which goes straight to the heart... don't miss it."
Jason Shroeder, CEO Scottish Men’s Sheds Association.
“Funny, sad, profound and poignant it covers the full gamut of emotions. Not to be missed!” Peter Searles
