Most recognised from Carnival in Brazil, the Samba is known around the world for bringing people of all ages together to move and have fun.
Join us and experience the feel, sounds and energy of playing in a community – great for school age kids, and adults who just want to have fun!
No experience is necessary, although we are delighted to have drummers of all skills join us as we use a range of Brazilian-style samba drums and percussion.
It’s empowering and great for the young and young at heart.
Suitable for all ages – kids from 7 years upwards are welcome with an adult.

The Birnam Book Festival Committee were so pleased with how the new facilities in the Auditorium added to an extremely professionally presented event. The lighting allowed us to create staging to match the country’s leading book festival events, such as we’ve seen in Edinburgh.

Welcome to Birnam Arts, a boutique multi-purpose arts, conferencing and entertainment venue.
Pop in to the Foyer Cafe for breakfast, grab a delicious coffee with a selection of our homemade baking or enjoy a light lunch whilst browsing on the free WiFi. Wander upstairs to view the latest of our monthly art exhibitions before visiting the world of Beatrix Potter, or the Gift Shop to purchase a special gift for your loved ones or yourself!
We really enjoy visiting the Arts Centre when we are walking in the Birnam area, and our family loved the Puppet show at Christmas.
