Perthshire Plays: Voices from the Hills

presents

You are the Future, a one woman play written and performed by Michelle Rodley and directed by Martin McCormick, is a dark comedy that explores the relationship between trauma and the intricacies of our thoughts through the eyes of Janet, a single mother from Perth.

At the age of seventeen, she is pregnant with her first child, but the birth triggers an unexpected chain of events that leads Janet to believe her new-born son could hold the key to saving the planet.

To what lengths will she go to uncover the truth?

There will be a post-show talk with Michelle and Myette Godwyn, theatre maker, writer and actor, of Perthshire Plays, who will invite discussion about the company and about new writing opportunities in Perthshire. Post show in the bar will also offer networking opportunities!

14+ recommended. Strong language used throughout performance.

Michelle Rodley is a Perthshire based actor who trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has since worked in TV, Film and Theatre.
