Adam Sutherland (fiddle) has devoted his entire life to composing, performing and teaching Scottish fiddle music. ‘The Road to Errogie’ and ‘Trip to the Market’ are two tunes that have become session standards in many countries around the world, whilst more of Adam’s pathogenically catchy melodies are also gaining in popularity. On stage, Adam has become very well known from touring with well loved bands such as Session A9, Treacherous Orchestra, Peatbog Faeries, Croft no Five and Nae Plans.
Jenn Butterworth (guitar) is an excellent collaborator, she works with a range of high profile folk music projects, including Ross Ainslie and Ali Hutton’s SYMBIOSIS, award winning folk powerhouses Kinnaris Quintet, Treacherous Orchestra and Fiddlers’ Bid.
Fin Moore and Sarah Hoy started playing together over 20 years ago when they regularly led sessions in Birnam. They have since performed as a duo all over the world. Fin Moore plays the Highland pipes, Border pipes and Scottish Small Pipes. For five years, he played in the Vale of Atholl Juvenile Band and is now a very successful pipemaker, performer and teacher. Sarah Hoy was born into a musical family in Edinburgh with her dad, Derek Hoy being fiddler with classic Scots band, Jock Tamson’s Bairns. The combination of the pipes and fiddle perfectly compliments each other as they play traditional music that will make you want to get up for a few steps!
