Taking inspiration from the self-portrait within Jo Foo’s exhibition, Susie Johnston will spend a morning exploring self portraits through the medium of clay.
This project is about offering affordable access to the arts and providing opportunity to try high-quality and specialist artistic approaches from professional artists. The actual cost per session is much higher than the given costs as we feel it is important to pay tutors according to Scottish Artist Union rates and provide access to quality materials and experiences. To ensure our holiday sessions are affordable during the school holidays, Birnam Arts subsidises this with further support from Creative Scotland.
We are offering the sessions on a Sliding Scale framework (thanks to funding from Creative Scotland). Please be honest and pay what you can afford.

£12 | I have a comfortable amount of disposable income and I’m happy to pay more to help enable others to access the arts.
Unfortunately our lift is currently out of order. Engineers are working hard to have it fixed and up & running again as soon as possible. We understand this may cause accessibility issues for some of our customers and sincerely apologise.
