Jack and the beanstalk from Melanie

Jack and the Beanstalk: Panto

30 November 2023

Jack and the Beanstalk – the Pantomime.

Ticket for 4 – just £20!

What can you do with a handful of beans? Have a fun-packed adventure of course!

A Hero in heels, a tartan-toting Fairy, a whip-cracking Baddie, a Princess, a King, and a silly old cow… and that’s not even the Dame! Everything you could want in your community panto.

Join us in Pantoland as Jack and his mother hopelessly try to persuade Daisy the cow to produce milk, preferably not in cans! And, after the Giant’s henchman, Rancid, threatens them with mayhem if they don’t give him their cash for his big - and we mean BIG – Boss, the desperate duo try persuading the Princess and the King in their money-generating ideas.

There are tricky times ahead for Jack once he discovers he’s sold poor old Daisy for less than he bargained for. And even more tricky, as Rancid tries a ‘fast getaway’ with a surly princess and stubborn cow up to the Giant’s castle in cloudland to claim his reward!

Can Jack save Daisy and the Princess from the Giant’s desires – and a pie?! Will the Dame and the King find true love? Will the king ever let go of his teddy? Can Jack climb a beanstalk in heels?

All these vital questions will be answered in a fast-paced, fun-filled show with a fabulous live band, a cast of... quite a few, and fantastic song favourites to singalong with: Take A Chance on Me, YMCA, Daisy, Daisy (of course!), even a bit of (really bad) Rapping, and lots more.

Book your group Christmas trip today – just £20 for 2 adults and 2 under 16s. It’s got to be the best start to the festive period EVER!

Go on – you know you want to… Oh yes you do!

This is a lovely light and welcoming building with a cafe and library during the day and some really excellent concerts and shows of all genres mostly in the evening. It's an intimate space but with capacity for several hundred people and tends to be competitively priced. It relies on volunteer support and is an excellent community hub.
