THE LOST WITCHES OF DUNKELD
Think you know about Witches? Think again
In the 1600s a vicious war was waged against so-called witches and to be labelled as one could be fatal, but what happened in Dunkeld and the surrounding areas was quite different.
Local storyteller Lindsey Gibb will introduce you to the women and men who were accused of witchcraft in this area and their surprising fates. Amongst many others, you'll meet Margaret, Countess of Atholl, the truculent Robert Small of Meigle, Dunkeld's Issobell Douglas and Margaret Stewart who fought back.
It'll change how you think about witches...
Our cafe will close at 2.00pm to allow our water to be turned off and leaking pipes fixed by our wonderful local plumber.
We will be open from 10am serving our breakfast menu, hot & cold drinks, cakes and ice-creams. From 12noon we will also be serving our Soup of the Day with the last orders taken at 1.15pm.
We'll be back open as normal on Saturday, 17th May at 10am.
We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause.
