This is a very basic introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 11, but it can suit children of any age. The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminology. The course will show complete respect for the child’s ability, make it educational and practical, and instil the importance of helping someone who is poorly or injured. A range of subjects are covered including: Contacting the emergency services, CPR, Asthma and many more!

Pop in to the Foyer Cafe for breakfast, grab a delicious coffee with a selection of our homemade baking or enjoy a light lunch whilst browsing on the free WiFi. Wander upstairs to view the latest of our monthly art exhibitions before visiting the world of Beatrix Potter, or the Gift Shop to purchase a special gift for your loved ones or yourself!
The comfortable and aesthetically pleasing cafe seating attracted praise and provided ideal places for small groups to gather at the tables, enjoying excellent food and drinks! Visitors remarked upon your new signage, now so much easier to navigate to the various rooms within the venue.

I have enjoyed taking part in events such as Scots Opera before we came to live in the area. Since then we have enjoyed both attending events and the splendid cafe In the foyer. It is a brilliant example of a local/regional community arts initiative and must not be allowed to falter.
