This open level class will guide you through the fundamentals of contemporary dance. Incorporating technique, creativity and choreographed phrases, we will explore elements of release technique, floorwork and travel. Improve body awareness, balance, co-ordination and fluidity of movement in a fun and relaxed environment.

Jorja is a Dance Artist and Movement Teacher based in Perthshire. Through performance, teaching and wellbeing projects, her practice aims to benefit collective wellbeing and connection through improving access to arts, movement and the outdoors.
On completing training at The Space in Dundee, Jorja graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance Performance. Also a qualified Yoga Teacher and Fitness Instructor, Jorja has been teaching a range of movement disciplines across the UK for over ten years.
She regularly performs and collaborates as a Contemporary Dance Artist, touring works by many renowned choreographers across Scotland and beyond. She enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration, improvisation and highly physical movement.
As a facilitator, Jorja aims to nurture encouraging and inclusive environments in which participants feel invited to move, observe, explore, discuss and play. Her teaching practice spans across dance, yoga and somatic movement, also incorporating the outdoors and integrating other artforms.
